This Privacy Policy explains how IPOVEST (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles information when you use www.ipovest.com (the “Site”). We have tried to keep it short and honest. By using the Site you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
- No accounts. You do not need to register or log in to use the Site, and we do not ask for your name, PAN, bank, UPI or demat details.
- Information you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write, and we use it only to respond to you.
- Technical data. Like most websites, our servers and our hosting/security provider (Cloudflare) process technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device, pages visited and timestamps. This is used to deliver the Site, keep it secure and prevent abuse.
- On your device. Features such as your watchlist are stored in your browser’s local storage on your own device. We do not receive this data and you can clear it at any time in your browser settings.
2. How we use information
- to provide, maintain and improve the Site and its data;
- to respond to your questions and correction requests;
- to protect the Site against fraud, abuse and security incidents;
- to comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Cookies
We do not set advertising or tracking cookies of our own. Our infrastructure provider may set strictly necessary security cookies to protect the Site. If we add analytics or advertising in future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent.
4. Third-party services and links
- Hosting and security: Cloudflare, Inc. processes requests to the Site.
- Fonts: we load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google’s servers when a page loads.
- External links: pages link to registrar websites, company websites and exchange or regulator websites. Those sites have their own privacy policies and we are not responsible for them.
5. Data retention and security
Server logs are kept only as long as needed for security and operations. Emails you send us are kept for as long as needed to handle your request. We use reasonable technical measures to protect information, but no internet transmission or storage is completely secure.
6. Your rights
Under applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask us to confirm what personal data we hold about you, correct it, or erase it, and you may withdraw consent you have given. To make a request, email contact@ipovest.com with the subject “Privacy request”. We will respond within a reasonable time.
7. Children
The Site is intended for adults who are legally able to invest. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Developer API platform
Our developer platform at api.ipovest.com lets you create an account and API keys; it handles a small amount of account information (such as email address) and has its own terms of use. This policy covers www.ipovest.com only.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows the latest version. Continued use of the Site means you accept the updated policy.
